We're excited to announce that the OORT DataHub has just launched – a decentralized platform that takes AI data collection to the next level. Here's a quick rundown of why we built the DataHub, how you can join our first mission to Mars, and what the future holds.

Why We Built the OORT DataHub

In the AI world, transparency and trust are essential. That's why we created the OORT DataHub: a decentralized infrastructure that makes data collection transparent, fair, and tamper-free.

  • Privacy-Preserving Data Processing: Your edge device (PC or mobile) processes data locally, protecting sensitive information.

  • Secure Data Storage: Once processed, data is securely stored in OORT Storage, safeguarding your contributions.

  • Transparent Data Usage: Every data transaction is recorded on OORT Olympus, ensuring you can track exactly where your data goes.

First Task: Mission to Mars

Our first mission is to analyze Mars imagery, sourced from NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), using decentralized technology. By sharing your device’s computing power, you’ll be helping us unlock secrets of the Martian surface.

The Base Camp

In order to gather more user feedback and keep refining the product before we launch more data and AI tasks on the OORT DataHub, we've designed a three-month training program called Base Camp. Here's what to expect

  • Simplified Tasks: Practice tasks that replicate real data generation activities, including collection and preprocessing, but are easier to understand and complete.

  • Supportive Learning: Learn how to navigate the DataHub’s workflow in a structured environment.

  • Skill Building: Refine your data processing skills and grow with us.

Tokenomics

OORT DataHub integrates a unique tokenomics structure to incentivize community participation.

  • Staking: Stake a minimum of 210 OORT tokens to participate in Mars exploration tasks.

  • Rewards: Earn OORT tokens based on the complexity of tasks completed, and unlock exclusive NFTs.

    • Tier 2 NFTs: Collect a full set of 10 unique NFTs and merge to form a Tier 1 NFT.

    • Tier 1 NFTs: Enjoy benefits like APY boosts on OORT Earn, discounts on DePIN devices, and voting power within the DAO.
